something witty here I don't care if Lauryn Hill is a racist. I've played her CD so much most of the tracks skip and I could do with a new copy. There's no proof that she did say anything anti-white, apparently the closest she came was to say a lot of things so far the other way that she didn't need to directly state her feelings towards white people, it was inherent in what she was saying. I don't care - if I see her (which is hardly likely to happen) I just won't ask for her autograph. There isn't enough good music in the world to split hairs and refuse to listen to the music someone makes because of the beliefs they may or may not hold, because music may reflect a lot of the personality of whoever made it, but it's also something else entirely, something unique. Or so I believe. Seriousness over. I'm currently enjoying Television Without Pity's recap of the MTV Movie Awards, even though I haven't seen them yet. Don't you love pointless award shows with incredibly thin actresses/singers who think they look like God's gift when in fact they just look very desperate? "Look at Charlize Theron's fake plastic tits." Ireland lost today. Sadness. Brazil are going to kick our collective arse, I know it. It was nice while it lasted I suppose. |
