laughter in the dark

the last change for a while, promise

I know, I know. I hardly had the circle template for a decent interval, but it wasn't really conducive to long entries like mine, I needed a wider entry area. Plus, if I had a quiz result or something that was wider than the entry area, it was all out of line and the image did this weird repeat thing. It wasn't pretty. But this template seems very simple and inoffensive, and I promise to keep it for a long time.

Right now of course I need to put my tracker on it and do various other little fixes, but I can't because apparently now is peak time and changing templates is reserved for gold members only, which I have to say I think is fucked up. I wish I could afford £18 a year or whatever it would be for gold membership, but I can't, and I don't see why I should be discriminated against for that. I can see adding entries being locked out for everyone but gold members in the not too distant future, and when that happens I will be moving to a different site, even though I love my diary, Diaryland and all the wonderful diaries and their writers I've found here. I have a bad feeling that this is a gradual phasing out and at some point no one will be able to use the site for free. It won't happen soon, I don't think, but it will happen. It's a shame that everything, even the great things, get commercialised in the end.

So yeah I don't really have anything to say, I just thought I should post an entry since I've changed my template and whatever.
