Whoever chooses the contestants for Big Brother has a thing for really stupid blonde girls, I think. Last year we had Helen, this year it's Jade - and Jade has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. There is nothing interesting or engaging about her, I think they just want people to watch in fascinated horror, unable to believe that there are people in the word who manage to be that stupid and stay alive. Jade doesn't do Essex any favours, but maybe they are all like that down there. She's kind of like a freak show exhibit.

I have a feeling we're going to lose the football tomorrow. We've been lucky so far, but I suspect our luck is about to run out in spectacular style - it's the English way. At least our fans have been pretty well behaved this time, I hate the way they make us all seem like lager louts. Someone pointed out on the radio the other day that all the talk of '66 is a bit optimistic - we may have won it once, but so did Uruguay.

The U.S. got through as well! Not that anyone over there cares very much, but I find it amusing and I'm happy that they managed it. I want them to advance, it would be really funny if we were drawn against them.

Why does a red light randomly flash on and off on the front of my computer tower? Is it to convince me that there actually is something going on in there? I think it all really happens in the monitor - they can justify making you pay a couple of grand for a computer by telling you you need the big rectangular thing as well, when in fact there's just a specially-trained hamster in there running around in a wheel connectd to a fan so it makes those important-sounding humming and whirring noises all the time.

Bill Gates is a fucker, isn't he?
